Michael Drew

Managing Partner


Michael Drew is a global business and technology executive offering over twenty years of experience in both the industry and consulting domains.  He specializes in creating business value for stakeholders, employees, and customers by integrating Strategy, Scorecards and Metrics, People and Organization, Business Processes, Information Technology, and Equipment/Plant. He is experienced at all levels of organization, and is adaptive and hands-on in working successfully with all, from the "C" and VP levels to the field and "shop floor".

Michael has extensive global experience, is culturally adaptive, and has delivered business value successfully on six continents. His track record of success spans the energy, utilities, chemicals, life sciences, pulp & paper, metals & mining, transportation & logistics, manufacturing, and service industries. On the information technology front, he has delivered SAP projects since 1994, has been a module functional consultant, integration manager, organizational change manager, project manager, and project director. He has also delivered Oracle, JD Edwards, Maximo, and custom application development projects. Michael has also delivered strategy and transformation, and business process improvement projects across many end-to-end business processes including Reliability & Maintenance and Supply Chain.

Michael has held Vice President level positions at ABB, Cap Gemini, Eagle Global Logistics, and was a Practice Leader at Infosys Consulting. 

Michael graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa as an Electrical Engineer.  He is based in Kingwood, Texas and is Managing Partner at Reliability-Optima.


Peter Orton



Peter brings over 20 years of experience as a Finance and Information Technology professional, focused on implementing and enhancing SAP applications since 1994. He is a Partner at Reliability-Optima where he serves on the board in a finance capacity.  Peter is also Vice President Delivery for Illumiti.

He believes technology investments should create value for organizations, and is skilled at developing business cases with measurable benefits, and implementing process and executive scorecards to ensure business goals are met through efficient use of technology, business processes and organization. He has partnered with C-level executives to establish business and I/T strategies, and is comfortable working with all levels of an organization.

His experience includes over 20 successful SAP projects in aerospace, chemical, financial services, wholesale distribution, manufacturing and retail industries across North America, Europe and Australia. In addition to new software implementations, Peter has delivered successful post-implementation business process improvement projects, driving value promised from initial software investments.

Peter has worked many roles, both as a client and consultant, including Enterprise Architect, Director of Enterprise Applications, Project Manager, and Functional Consultant. He has extensive knowledge of global accounting and financial processes, holding a Bachelor of Economics from Monash University (Australia), with majors in Accounting and Computer Science.

Michael Amico

Managing Partner


Michael Amico has over 20 years of business and consulting experience gained in over eleven countries. He has extensive experience partnering with senior executives to ensure project alignment with strategic vision. He has also led many successful acquisition integration programs. He is accomplished at identifying, designing and implementing ERP/SAP and business solutions that create organizational and stakeholder value. Michael specializes in facilitating the creation of business value across all business and technology landscapes by integrating strategy execution, value creation, organizations and learning, business processes, and technology. He is experienced at the Executive Level, but also retains the ability to connect with people on the "shop floor."  On the information technology front, he has delivered SAP projects since 1993 working in various roles including module functional consultant, integration manager, organizational change manager, project manager, and project director. Michael has led numerous project teams to achieve consistent "on time and above client expectation" engagement ratings.

Michael has held Partner and Vice President positions at KPIT, Sparta, Illumiti Services, and Business Edge Solutions and was a Senior Manager Practice Leader at Cap Gemini. Michael is currently a Managing Partner at Reliability-Optima. 

He is a graduate of Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts and is based in Katy, Texas.

Raymond (Ray) Oliverson 

Executive Vice President


Ray has over 40 years of experience encompassing many hundreds of engagements in reliability and maintenance consulting where he has had great success delivering measurable financial improvement through the implementation of reliability/maintenance strategies and systems.

He served as President of HSB Reliability Technologies, Vice President at ABB on a national level, and is a Founding Member and former Director of the Society for Maintenance and Reliability Professionals (SMRP). He is also a member of the Institute of Safety and Systems Management (ISSM).

Ray has extensive experience servicing major customers in the Pulp and Paper, Refining, Pipelines, Upstream, Petrochemical, Chemical, Steel, Mining, and Automotive Industries.

Among Ray’s many achievements over an illustrious career, he is credited with developing the concept of price versus cost of maintenance, adapting the overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) metric for continuous process industries, developing the concepts of: maintenance cost compared to replacement asset value, preventable maintenance, maintenance prevention and operator driven reliability.

Ray completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Minnesota. He earned an MS in Systems Management from the University of Southern California while serving as an USAF F-4 pilot.
